For My Hero...

Like the strong and broad branches of a tree,
Everyday Heroes help provide a diverse canopy of care to keep them safe,
keep them strong and keep them together.

This song reminds me of Danny and his fight with the doctors in the hospital to keep trying to save me. He NEVER once thought that I was going to die. No matter what grim hopeless words they told him. He knows me through and through. He is the only one who does. He knows my wishes and honored them throughout the time in the hospital and every new life threatening thing that would pop up.

He even forced them them to go into my brain for the second time to retrieve the clot after my second stroke. They gave up and sentenced me to not using my left side ever again and brain damage. They told Danny going in again would kill me. Danny told them she would rather try and die then end up young with that kind of life ahead of her. They didn't agree, but he flatly told them to "DO IT NOW!" I wish I could have seen this. My hero who helped a miracle take place. He opened the doors for our Heavenly Father to heal me. His faith alone in my survival was so strong and he was rewarded for it.

Danny loves me and takes such good care of me. He has made me into a much better and happy person since meeting him, something no one else could do.

He is so smart and knows what to do before anyone else does. He should be a therapist or Psychologist. He gets it.

Danny Sommers, I love you and am so grateful every moment of every day that you have stood by me, crazy and all that Desirae stuff, no matter what.

My True Hero for life.

To my daughters and son. Skyler be a hero also. Girls, you pick a young man who is foremost a hero for they will always take care of you. And we all should also be heroes back to them.

True Love is hard to find, but when you find it. Don't ever let go!

"A hero is not one that never falls. He is the one that gets up,
again and again, never losing sight of his dreams."

My Everyday Heroes

Time and time again
They've fought off beasts
They've snatched me back
From vicious jaws
That I might live again

They've soothed my brow
And healed my soul
And made me whole
And filled with peace
That I might live again

Time and time again
They've stood by me
Through thick and thin
Through grief and joy
That I might live again

They are my heroes
Every one
They are my pride,
My joy,
My solace
They are...
My family.
