Winter Beauty...

Being the snowshoeing lover that I am, I decided to get Danny snowshoes for Christmas. Taisha and I got some last year and we tried to go once, but there was not any snow last year. And to top it off, Danny lost his rentals which cost us a hefty amount, so he said he wouldn't rent any this year.

 

The snow was a little packed and crunchy on the paths but soft and heavenly up higher.

We even took Sasha and her new dog pack that Taisha got for Christmas. Sasha LOVED tromping around and even had admirers. She is a pretty dog.

Taisha is wondering what's taking us so long? I kept stopping to take pictures. Going down was so much easier than up.

Danny told me to go stand by Taisha so I did. LOL

I was so giggly that day. I just LOVE being in the outdoors. It is my anxiety reliever.

Snowshoeing

Taisha got snowshoes for her birthday and I got the same pair for Christmas. We were so excited to go try them out.

As we drove up the canyon, we noticed that there was very little snow compared to the valley. 

Weird we thought, so we thought the further we go, the more snow we would find. 

NOPE...

It was a bust :(

So on the way home we decided to go thought Midway which is one of my favorite small towns and we found a trail. Everyone there had snowshoes, but couldn't use them so we decided to hike and get some excercise anyway. 

Have you ever walked through snow? It is tiring.

She also kept complaining about how hot it was and laid in the snow. It was a warm 22 degrees outside. Layering does help.
